Some Arsenal fans react as Grealish defends himself from Keane criticism
Some Arsenal fans have been reacting after Jack Grealish tweeted about last night’s Euro 2020 heartbreak.
Roy Keane tore into the attacking midfielder and Raheem Sterling over letting Bukayo Saka take the decisive penalty.
Speaking on ITV, the Irishman said that the more ‘experienced’ players should have taken charge.
Grealish has enjoyed a sensational last few years with Aston Villa. His last two seasons with the Villans have yielded 37 goal contributions in the Premier League.
However, his penalty record is nowhere to be seen with the ace having yet to take one in his .
Taking to , the England international defended himself, claiming he wanted to take a spot-kick.
: “I said I wanted to take one!!!! The gaffer has made so many right decisions through this tournament and he did tonight! But I won’t have people say that I didn’t want to take a peno when I said I will…”

Grealish will earn support from all…including Arsenal fans
No doubt the Aston Villa fans will rally around Grealish, however, his failure to take a kick begs questions.
If Grealish was keen to take a penalty as he claims, it would have been easy to take rank over a younger player.
At 25, he has far more experience than the youngster throughout the Premier League and Championship.
Grealish’s word carries more weight, hence, why he should have pulled rank and taken the fifth and final spot kick.
However, he didn’t and questions need to be asked.
Here is how some Arsenal fans reacted…
That settles that then, Southgate doesn’t trust Grealish. I’m baffled beyond belief. How can 60m people know something that 1 man doesn’t. Grealish has been robbed of minutes this tournament and it’s only Southgates fault.

Congrats to you and all the players. You all had a great tournament 👍 Have a well earned rest now all of you.

Roy Keane is still right. You can say you wanted it but if you really did, you don't take no for an answer and you step up.

You and Sterling allowed the kids to go ahead of you and that's poor. This was your Gazza moment and you bottled it.
Southgate's fault overall though.
Head up Jack ❤
