‘So tired’… £60m player says he feels exhausted in Tottenham training sometimes

Richarlison has revealed why he sometimes feels “so tired” in Tottenham training at Hotspur Way.

The 26-year-old made the comments when speaking to Desimpedidos.

So, what did Tottenham No.9 Richarlison say? Let’s take a look…

Richarlison shares why he feels “so tired” in Tottenham training

Well, the Brazilian sometimes exhausts himself with a late night in order to follow his beloved Vasco da Gama and watch them play on TV.

When asked which team he supports, Richarlison : “Can it be two? Fluminense or Vasco. My whole family is Vasco, I’m a tricolour because I played there, but I’m Vasco. This is the first time I’ve mentioned my team in Brazil. It’s those two teams and America-MG too.

“I follow Vasco here late at night, I arrive at the training centre so tired, sometimes angry.”

We wonder what Ange Postecoglou makes of these comments!

All jokes aside, we’re sure the Australian doesn’t mind as long as his man keeps delivering the goods.

Much better this season

Richarlison has enjoyed a much improved campaign under Postecoglou after enduring a difficult season with Antonio Conte in 2022/23.

The South American scored just goals in 35 appearances last term, but has netted goals in 25 outings so far this season.

Before an untimely knee injury, Richarlison had even scored five goals in his last six Premier League games.

Clearly, those late nights following his beloved Vasco da Gama aren’t having much of a negative impact!

Ultimately, Richarlison and Conte just did not seem to get along – the Brazil international even recently told a story of the time he openly criticised the Italian in front of the entire squad, taking aim at his tactical choices amongst other topics.

Fortunately, Spurs have moved beyond that toxic period, and things look a lot brighter under Postecoglou.
