‘So pleased’: These Tottenham fans respond with delight to Carabao Cup news
Over a year into the pandemic, Tottenham supporters have been handed a major boost with the news that some will be able to attend the upcoming Carabao Cup Final.
As reported by , the game is to be used as one of three pilot events to test the return of fans to football grounds.
The match between Jose Mourinho’s Spurs and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side takes place on April 25 at Wembley, with a crowd of 8,000 being allowed to attend.
Tickets will be split between fans of the two clubs, with the remainder going to NHS staff and local residents in Brent.
It’s one of three pilot events, with the FA Cup semi-final between Leicester City and Southampton on April 18 welcoming 4,000 supporters, and 21,000 fans expected to attend the FA Cup Final on May 15.
While it’s a far cry from the full house that would be the norm for a fixture of this magnitude, the Tottenham fans below are pleased to see another step on the road back to normality.
Great news, now wear the shirt with pride and win the thing!
