‘So good’: Mohammed Kudus left amazed after what 27-year-old West Ham did vs Arsenal last night

Mohammed Kudus has singled out Nayef Aguerd for praise after the defender’s role in his goal for West Ham United last night.

Kudus spoke to West Ham’s after netting a stunning goal in the 3-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers booked their place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup thanks to goals from Kudus and Jarrod Bowen, after Ben white’s own goal in the first-half.

It’s fair to say that Kudus’ effort was the pick of the bunch as he produced an exceptional first touch after a cross-field ball from Nayef Aguerd

The Ghanaian then unleashed a shot into the bottom corner to beat Aaron Ramsdale and hand West Ham a two-goal cushion.

But the 22-year-old has moved to praise Aguerd for picking him out in the first place.

Kudus amazed by Aguerd’s assist last night

Speaking to West Ham’s media team after a huge win over the Gunners, Kudus singled out Aguerd for praise.

“It was, but the pass from Nayef Aguerd was so good and I didn’t have to do a lot,” the forward said.

“I want to say thanks to Nayef for that pass.”

Kudus put in an exceptional performance last night and Bowen labelled the former Ajax man a ‘special’ player after the game.

The forward has shown glimpses of his quality following the switch from Holland and last night was an example of what he’s capable of producing.

As for Aguerd, he put in yet another solid display in defence and he’s quickly established himself as a key man under David Moyes.

The Moroccan international boasts some brilliant qualities for a centre-back and his passing is a huge weapon for West Ham.

While his assist last night may have gone under due to Kudus’ exceptional first touch to beat Oleksandr Zinchenko, it’s clear it hasn’t gone unnoticed by his teammate.
