‘So damn good’: Some Arsenal fans laud Edu signing who was ‘creating chances for fun’ last night
Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard played a starring role for Norway this weekend as the Scandinavian country secured a over Latvia.
Goals from Erling Haaland and Mohamed Elyounoussi secured the three points for Norway as Odegaard impressed in Riga. The 22-year-old playmaker was named captain of his country earlier this year.
The win was enough to put Norway comfortably second in Group G of FIFA World Cup qualifying for UEFA. The Netherlands currently occupy the top spot after five games.

Odegaard joined Arsenal on a permanent deal this summer from Real Madrid.
The Gunners will be hoping Odegaard can help the club return back to the top of the English game, with the youngster impressing last season for Arsenal.
Indeed, Arsenal won the third-most points in the Premier League when the 22-year-old joined from Real Madrid last season. But so far this campaign, things have not got off to a good start for the north London side since Odegaard’s return.

Arsenal lost 5-0 to Manchester City, their highest defeat since Arteta’s arrival as manager of the club. Yet Norway captain Odegaard will be eager to push the Gunners back on the right path.
And his performance this weekend for his nation had plenty of Arsenal fans excited. Whilst Odegaard didn’t score or assist for Norway against Latvia, the midfielder was a tormenting force for the Baltic side.
