Slaven Bilic appointment would surely boost Celtic’s chances of re-signing fellow Croatian centre-back Filip Benkovic
After wrapping up the Scottish Premiership title, Celtic’s primary focus will be on the Scottish Cup. The Bhoys could win their third consecutive domestic treble.
But the secondary focus will be on their managerial situation. Neil Lennon’s reign as interim manager is coming to an end and he might be replaced.
Several names have been mentioned. And former Croatia and West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is reportedly interested in taking the job ().
Bilic’s appointment would surely boost Celtic’s hopes of bringing Filip Benkovic back to Parkhead. The 21-year-old’s loan expires this summer and he is due to head back to Leicester City.
But that ex-Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers could send him back to Glasgow.

Benkovic has found himself down the pecking order under Lennon and might not want to return if the Northern Irishman is still in charge.
But Bilic would surely be the ideal mentor for Benkovic. The Croatia U21 international’s style of play is similar to Bilic’s and these two could form a strong bond.
Bilic was a towering centre-half from Croatia who was comfortable on the ball and strong in the air. Benkovic could model his game on Bilic if the two team up at Celtic.
Benkovic’s future is in doubt. But bringing Bilic to Celtic would probably tempt Benkovic to consider rejoining in the summer.
