Sky Sports reporter predicts who are favourites to sign Kalvin Phillips between Crystal Palace and Newcastle
Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth has predicted who is most likely to sign Kalvin Phillips between Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
The England international has been strongly linked to both Premier League sides in recent days as Manchester City continue to work on loaning out Phillips.
And speaking on Transfer Talk, Sheth h🅰as now given his verdict on who Phillips is most likely to join, with Palace edging out for tꦚhe transfer journalist.

🌺Sheth said: “The Premier League is looking increasingly likely where he will be playing his football come February 1st, and Newcastle have been interested. I just wonder whether they’ll make a real push for him given that Joelinton could be out potentially for an extended period of time, maybe even the rest of the season.
“But𒀰 what was interesting was a news conference that Roy Hodgson gave yesterday. I’ve not seen a manager for a long tim🐭e be that open about a player at another club who their club is interested in.
“And he was like, let’s see if we can do a deal, it will all depend on what Man City want to do, it depends on the wages situation as well, could we afford his 🎀wages? Probably not, would they need Manchester City’s help.
“There will need to be lots of pieces that would need to fall into place for a deal like that to happen. If you’re asking me now who are the favourites,ꦦ purely because he’s been so open about iꦉt, you’d have to say Crystal Palace would be up there.”
Crystal Palace could suit Kalvin Phillips more than Newcastle

Whilst Newcastle’s midfield injury crisis and quest for European football makes the Magpies an obvious choice for Phillips, Palace could be mo🐓re ཧsuited for the City midfielder.
As we know,✃ the south London side have had incredible success♍ over the years with Premier League loan deals, and Phillips could rediscover his form ahead of the Euros at Selhurst Park.
Moreover, getting to play with the likes of Michael Olise will be appealing for Phillips, who could become a midfield sta🐻r for Palace if the 28-year-old was to make the move this January.
