Sky Sports pundit comments on what he finds ‘almost super-human’ about Leeds
David Prutton has raved about Leeds United’s almost “super-human” ability to go through the season with the intensity they play at and turning teams over, comparing them to Liverpool.
The Whites were rampant throughout the first half of the season before experiencing a downturn in form at the start of the New Year, claiming just 10 points from a possible 33.
Plenty of Leeds fans began worrying that their automatic promotion hopes were collapsing as they did the previous season, before surging back into form with five clean-sheet wins in a row.

The Elland Road side currently sits top of the Championship table, seven points clear of third-placed Fulham and one ahead of second-placed West Bromwich Albion.
Leeds have got to where they are by playing a high-intensity brand of direct, attacking football and are one of the most exciting teams to watch in the Championship.
Likewise, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool play an exhilarating brand of football, although they too have endured a tough spell in recent weeks, compared to a long stint of near-invincibility.
“I think that’s testament to the way (Leeds) have reacted to the questions that were asked of the team when they were faltering,” former Leeds player and Sky Sports pundit Prutton told the .

“We all knew a run like that was going to happen at some stage during the season. To go through the season with the intensity that Leeds play at and just turning teams over is super-human almost.
“You have seen it with Liverpool, there was a presumption that they would go unbeaten and that they would win all before them but they have had a couple of defeats and a dodgy fortnight in some competitions.
“The questions come flying out again instead of appreciating what they have done so far, the same as Leeds. You have got to appreciate the way Leeds have approached their football and how they have played this season.”
TBR View:
With football having been halted until 4 April at the earliest, it’s a good time to reflect on how each team has done so far while the authorities ponder what to do next in wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Leeds have been thoroughly impressive this season, and Prutton is right to describe the Whites as nearly super-human – they have very much been the Championship’s version of Liverpool, enthralling to watch and, despite the odd hiccup, seemingly destined for glory.
