Sky Sports presenter Scott Minto says Leeds United must ensure ‘unpredictable’ Marcelo Bielsa stays
Leeds United are now just one point away from the Premier League following a 1-0 win over Barnsley at Elland Road.
A first-half own goal from Michael Solbauer proved pivotal despite a brave fightback from the relegation-threatened Tykes.
With Leeds now on the cusp of a return to the Premier League, one Sky sports presenter has been having his say on the club’s potential rise.
Scott Minto, the former Ch elsea and West Ham defender who fronts Sky’s coverage of the Football League, after the game to share a video message regarding Leeds’ win.

He admitted he will miss covering Leeds as a Championship team if they are indeed promoted which makes sense, considering how often the Whites are picked for television.
Minto also had a simple message for Leeds United’s chairman Andrea Radrizzani regarding the one signing he must ensure this summer.
“I think the most important thing that (Andrea) Radrizzani needs to do is basically sign Bielsa again to make sure he does stay. It would be a massive loss if he suddenly says ‘I’ve done my bit, I’ve got Leeds into the Premier League and now I am going to move on’. He’s so unpredictable you never know.
“I think that would be a loss not only for Leeds but for English football. I would love to see him compete with the top managers and if he is given some money as well then who knows what he can do.”
Leeds United will no doubt want to keep Bielsa for their Premier League campaign. However, his current deal with the club does expire this summer and his unpredictable nature in the past has some Leeds fans worried.
The general consensus is that Bielsa will stick around if Leeds are promoted. The Argentine clearly enjoys the challenge in West Yorkshire and has also fallen in love with the surrounding area.
It would mean ‘El Loco’ going into his third year of a club coaching job for only the second time in his managerial career, which highlights the journeyman aspect of the highly-revered Leeds boss.
Leeds fans will be hoping he sticks around for as long as possible.
