Sky Sports journalist shares potential late ‘twist’ involving West Ham player

Pablo Fornals has not quite left West Ham United yet and is at the London Stadium tonight in what could be a late ‘twist’ in the deal.

It was claimed earlier today that Fornals was on his way to Real Betis in a deal worth around £7m. Sky Sports reporter

However, Sheth has now taken to social media to share a further update on the matter and claims Fornals is now with the West Ham squad tonight.

Taking to X again, Sheth has confirmed that Fornals is there and hinted at a potential ‘twist’ in the deal.

You just never know on deadline day

Despite West Ham looking like they’d agreed everything, you just never know in football and especially on deadline day.

Fornals looked to be well on his way out but as Sheth says, his arrival at the London Stadium tonight will pose some questions.

Of course, it could be simply that he is looking to say goodbye to his teammates and manager ahead of his move to Real Betis.

The midfielder is a popular member of the squad and it would be fitting for him to at least get some sort of send off from teammates.

However, with the deadline edging ever closer, you just never know and West Ham fans will be keeping tabs on this one as the hours trickle by.

Still, it would be a big surprise to see this one collapse so late in the day.
