Sky Sports journalist says ‘unbelievable’ player is on the verge of leaving Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the sale of a player.

Spurs have been pretty active in the summer transfer window having already signed Archie Gray, Timo Werner, Lucas Bergvall and Yang Min-hyuk.

Now, attention has turned towards an attacker and a midfielder, with Juventus wide player Federico Chiesa under consideration.

To facilitate these incomings, they’ll need to trade like all Premier League clubs and with that said, they’re now about to sell a highly-rated player.

Emerson Royal close to leaving Tottenham

According to Sky Italy journalist , Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal is on the verge of joining Serie A giants AC Milan.

The Brazilian full-back has been in talks to join the Rossoneri for much of the window and now finally, the two clubs appear to be close to reaching an agreement.

Emerson, who has been labelled as ‘unbelievable’ per , agreed personal terms with Milan weeks ago, it was just the transfer fee that was causing a stumbling block.

£15m was Milan’s latest offer with Spurs holding out for £16m to close the deal, so there’s an expectation a deal will be done imminently.

Tottenham raising funds for Federico Chiesa

The sale of Emerson could accelerate a deal to sign Juve’s Federico Chiesa, who is thought to be available on the market for around £25m.

The 26-year-old is out of contract next summer so he’s been transfer listed for a discounted fee, alerting several clubs around the continent.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been mooted as potential destinations, too, but they are yet to make an approach.
