Sky Sports journalist has some ‘good news’ for Tottenham fans after watching training this morning

Jamie Weir has shared some ‘good news’ on the fitness of Brennan Johnson from Tottenham Hotspur training this morning.

Speaking on , the journalist revealed that Brennan Johnson was amongst the group as Tottenham prepare for a clash against Everton on Saturday.

Johnson was forced off with a head injury on his return to Nottingham Forest on Saturday after suffering a cut on his forehead.

The 22-year-old was replaced by Oliver Skipp and Ange Postecoglou was confident over his availability following the 2-0 win at Forest.

“He should be ok,” the Spurs boss told . “He’s just got a nasty cut to his head. Nothing that should keep him out.”

Now, the Welshman has been spotted back in training at Hotspur Way in what may be a huge boost for Spurs.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Weir delivered a positive update on Johnson on Tuesday morning.

“The good news is that Brennan Johnson is out there,” the journalist said. “He came off with 20 minutes gone against his old club on Friday night.

“After the game, Ange Postecoglou said just a deep cut, not a concussion, so it’s good to see Brennan Johnson out there.”

Spurs have really struggled with injuries over the past month, with the likes of Micky van de Ven, James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur all out until the new year.

Giovani Lo Celso is also a doubt for Saturday’s clash against Everton after picking up a muscle strain.

It would benefit Postecoglou massively to have Johnson available as they host Sean Dyche’s side.

The forward has been playing on the right-hand side of late, which has allowed Dejan Kulusevski to fill the James Maddison role.

The Swede has excelled in a central role too and helped to provide some much-needed creativity in the middle of the park.
