Sky reporter issues update on Tottenham future of Dele Alli live on air

David Reed has told that there have still been no formal offers made to Tottenham Hotspur for Dele Alli during the January transfer window.

Dele has been linked with a move away throughout the month. He has fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte having endured similar fates under several of his predecessors.

The 25-year-old was nowhere to be seen when Tottenham faced Chelsea before the break. But that had seemingly not put off his admirers.

Dele has been linked with a raft of sides. The likes of Newcastle, Everton, and even Borussia Dortmund have all been named as admirers of the England international.

Remarkably however, no side has seemingly confirmed their interest with a bid for the attacking midfielder. Reed suggested that Tottenham are yet to be asked about a deal for Dele this month.

“Before the start of this transfer window, we were reporting here on Sky Sports News that Tottenham would be willing to listen to offers for Dele Alli. But as far as we know, up to this point, there have been no formal bids for the player,” .

“As it stands, it looks like a frustrating day for Dele Alli and for Tottenham in terms of moving him out.”

Tottenham surely still braced for Dele situation to change as deadline looms

Dele has endured a tough time at Tottenham. And it would appear that Conte has not got the former MK Dons man in his plans.

But it is hard to imagine the window closing without an offer coming in. He has been outstanding in the past. And he has shown glimpses this season.

He was lauded for a ‘‘ display by Ian Wright earlier this term. So surely, there will be one or two sides who make a last-ditch play for Dele before the deadline passes.
