Sky journalist reveals what he keeps getting told every time he asks about Eberechi Eze and Tottenham
Eberechi Eze to Tottenham has been one of the transfer rumours of the summer.
The Crystal Palace star has been constantly linked to Tottenham in recent weeks, but, as of yet, no deal has come to fruition.
Speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Michael Bridge has been discussing the links between Eze and Tottenham.
According to the journalist, the links between Eze and Tottenham are constantly being denied.
Eberechi Eze to Tottenham played down
Bridge shared what he’s been told about Eze and Spurs.
“I know the Eze one keeps coming up, and that’s the one player I’ve heard about all summer. It was a no throughout the summer when I’ve asked every time, no, no, no, no,” Bridge said.
“They do like him, but you can’t have everyone you like. I spoke to someone at Palace and they said to me they wouldn’t dream of selling Olise, Guehi and Eze in one window. Guehi could still go, they have sold Andersen to Fulham for £30m. I don’t think it will happen this window.”
Crystal Palace must not sell Eberechi Eze
There are just a few days left in the transfer window, and this is a huge few days for Palace.
Crystal Palace have had a bit of a disaster of a transfer window. Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen have both left, while Marc Guehi could also be on his way to Newcastle.
Eberechi Eze is almost the last jewel in the crown at Selhurst Park, and after a slow start to the season, Palace surely can’t afford to sell the England international at this point.
Tottenham do like Eze, and maybe this is one to watch in the future, but, for now, Spurs have next to no chance of signing the former QPR star.
Eze has to stay at Crystal Palace this summer, but he’s certainly good enough to join a top club one day.
