‘Sky is the limit for him’… Defender who left Spurs in 2023 lauded 23-year-old Postecoglou now wants to sign

Tottenham Hotspur appear to be preparing to make a move for an attacking player in the summer transfer window, with a number of names already on the club’s radar.

Spurs have previously been linked with Raphinha. Meanwhile, Tottenham are also monitoring Pedro Neto after what has been an outstanding season to date for the Wolves star.

Pedro Neto has been brilliant for Gary O’Neil’s side. As shown by , only Ollie Watkins and Kieran Trippier have provided more assists in the Premier League than the Portuguese.

Matt Doherty lauded Tottenham target Pedro Neto

Wolves will be aware that keeping the 23-year-old is going to be incredibly difficult in the summer. Manchester City are also interested in Neto. So it would be a big surprise if Wolves did not have several offers to respond to when the window opens again.

Certainly, he would be an incredibly exciting signing for Tottenham, particularly when you consider comments made by former Spurs right-back Matt Doherty earlier this season.

Speaking to the , Doherty suggested that the winger’s potential is limitless.

“Pedro has always had the ability, he was doing this two years ago, he’s just been unfortunate with injuries that have halted his progress.

“He seems fit now and the sky is the limit for him. He’s been unfortunate with injuries but we’re starting to see the best of him again.

“He was injured for a couple of the years I was away, but he was doing this type of stuff when he was 19 years old.”

Winger would be a brilliant signing

It would be a real coup for Tottenham to win the race to sign Neto in the summer. He is arguably one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League right now. And Ange Postecoglou’s side are undoubtedly one of the best teams to watch in the division.

Obviously, he has had issues with injuries in the past. So that may be a concern for the sides preparing to try and spend big on Neto this summer.

But if he does realise his full potential, he could be an absolutely amazing signing for a club such as Tottenham this coming summer.
