Six tackles, two blocks and two interceptions: Leeds star produces his best display of season in win over Palace
Leeds United secured a crucial 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Tuesday night – and Stuart Dallas was sensational for the Whites.
Coming into the match, Dallas was struggling for form – as were many of his Leeds teammates. The Whites had only won two of their 13 league games.
Draws against Leicester and Brighton came either side of a loss to Tottenham. But Leeds were much improved against an in-form Palace side.
Patrick Vieira has got his Palace side playing well, with a different style and new names. The 90 minutes was very equal, both sides boasting chances.
But eventually, luck shone on Leeds. Marc Guehi handled from a Raphinha corner and the Brazilian did the honours, scoring on 94 minutes.

Leeds were much improved though. Kalvin Phillips was excellent, as was the defence. Even Tyler Roberts looked like a different player up top.
But it was Dallas, that – according to the stats – stood out head and shoulders above his Leeds teammates. Ally McCoist branded him “phenomenal”.
Dallas stats: Leeds star’s best performance of the season vs Palace
that Dallas made six tackles – more than any other player. It saw him dominate Wilfried Zaha, one of the division’s best wingers.
That is, despite playing on the right of a back four – despite being left-footed. The Northern Ireland international was superb, defensively.
He also made two blocks and two interceptions. A key pass and a shot show that he also got forward on occasions. It was his best of the season, by far.
