Sir Alex Ferguson believes Everton-linked coach is a truly ‘magnificent’ manager
Will Steven Gerrard be the next Everton manager as per reports? He’s certainly a ‘magnificent coach’, according to Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Toffees apparently want the Rangers boss in wake of Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton exit.
Ancelotti had three years left on his contract at Goodison Park.

However, he has now taken the reins at Real Madrid for a second time.
claims that Everton have hastily drawn up a shortlist of replacements, which features the Liverpool legend.
Rangers appointed Gerrard in May 2018 and he has done a superb job at Ibrox.
The Light Blues were relentless last season, cruising to their 55th Scottish Premiership title without a single defeat.
Speaking about Gerrard, Ferguson told : “He’s done magnificent. He really has, both on and off the field.
“A press interview can lose you your job in management. But Steven’s press conferences are fantastic.
“He’s cool, he’s composed, he gives the right answers. He’s really top because it’s an art.”
Who else could be the next Everton manager?
According to The Athletic, Everton are also keen on another Liverpool legend in Rafael Benitez.
The Spaniard famously won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005
Benitez has also spent time in charge of Chelsea and Newcastle in the Premier League.
West Ham manager David Moyes, former Roma and Porto boss Paulo Fonseca, Ajax’s Erik ten Hag and Belgium’s Roberto Martinez have also been linked.

TBR View:
Gerrard has finally ended Rangers’ wait for a 55th league trophy after a decade.
The way the Ibrox side has completely steamrollered Scotland’s top division will go down in Gers folklore.
However, Ancelotti’s departure from Everton could well present Gerrard with an opportunity to return to Merseyside.
It would be a controversial appointment for the Liverpool fanbase but who knows, it could be his first step to eventually taking the Anfield reins.
