Simon Jordan tells PIF exactly what to do with Alexander Isak, he agrees with Newcastle United legend
Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United is in doubt, with Liverpool thought to be keen on a transfer.
Liverpool are interested in Alexander Isak despite already signing another forward, Hugo Ekitike, in the current transfer window.
It has emerged this week that Isak has asked to leave Newcastle, with Arne Slot’s side and Al Hilal thought to have been put on alert.
The striker had a prolific 2024/25 season, helping the North East outfit win their first piece of silverware in the 21st century.
But Newcastle have left Isak ‘absolutely furious’ regarding a potential new deal, and he could be heading for the exit door.

Simon Jordan tells Newcastle United what to do with Alexander Isak
The Swedish centre-forward scored 27 goals in all competitions last season, including 23 in the Premier League.
Losing a player of his goalscoring ability would be a blow for Newcastle, but Simon Jordan is of the opinion he should be sold.
Speaking to talkSPORT on Friday, the former Crystal Palace owner said Isak should be moved on and that he agrees with club legend Alan Shearer’s stance on the situation.
He said: “I’m with Shearer on the Isak argument. If people want to buy him, first of all, Newcastle name the price and the terms of the conditions around the financing of that particular deal.
“And sell him, because no one is bigger than the football club, Eddie Howe won’t want somebody in the dressing room that’s not 100% committed.
“And so with Shearer’s analysis, which is that if they get £150m, sell him. I don’t disagree with that because Newcastle’s a bigger football club than Isak and they will have an opportunity to redeploy that money, and it may well be that that builds a better squad rather than just one individual, albeit he is an individual of unique talent.”
Newcastle United have Alexander Isak replacements in mind
It remains to be seen if Isak will end up leaving the club, sign a new contract, or stay at St James’ Park on his current terms.
But should the 25-year-old be sold, Newcastle have identified replacements for Isak.
TBR football’s Chief Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, is aware that the Magpies are considering seven strikers as replacements for the attacker should he leave.
They are Benjamin Sesko, Lois Openda, Yoane Wissa, Samu Aghehowa, Ollie Watkins, Nicolas Jackson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Sesko is thought to be top of that list and is a player Howe likes.
The 22-year-old found the net 21 times in 45 matches for German outfit RB Leipzig across the 2024/25 season.
