Liverpool have been linked with a £100 million move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. It’s yet another rumour which cites the Reds with interest in a world-class player
The reports regarding the England international do seem somewhat bizarre, however, considering Sancho isn’t really a natural fit in a Jurgen Klopp style of play.
It may sound somewhat silly but if Liverpool are going to plunge £100 million on one player then it shouldn’t be on the Dortmund man.

The links to the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz make sense. Both play in positions that are just about ideal for Klopp’s current strategy.
Sancho doesn’t though and as a winger who likes to hug the touchline, he isn’t a natural fit into Klopp’s flexible front three.
The 19-year-old is undoubtedly class and in the future, he’ll surely become one of the world’s very best players.
This season he has netted 15 goals and registered 17 assists, typically playing as a right-winger.
Klopp doesn’t play with wingers per se and his wide options are more accustomed to operating as inside forwards.
Sadio Mane and Mo Salah are both in solid form and out of the three, Roberto Firmino seems the most likely to make way for a new recruit.

Signing Sancho as a replacement for Firmino just seems incomprehensible and almost like a signing for the sake of one.
Plan
Klopp will have a clear strategy when it comes to the transfer market and this Sancho link could be nothing more than newspaper nonsense.
Given his team’s dominance this season, the manager will surely be relaxed about the transfer market and he won’t be rushed into panic signings.
Sancho to Liverpool just doesn’t seem to make sense and it would represent a surprise if he was to rock up at Anfield.
