‘Sign him quick’: Some Spurs fans react after hearing who’s reportedly been promised N17 move – for the right price
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the report claiming Wout Weghorst has been promised a move to Spurs if the North Londoners meet his asking price.
The 28-year-old has been in sensational form for Wolfsburg , registering 15 goals and one assist from 18 games, while his for the German club stands at 53 goals and 13 assists from 97 competitive appearances.

Weghorst has made in the past of an interest in playing in the Premier League, and in the summer, he told – translated by – of his desire to “achieve at the highest level”.
And amid rumours of £27million interest in Weghorst from Tottenham over the summer, the 6ft 5in giant spoke to in October, stating that the interest from Spurs was “serious”.
Now, according to Christian Falk, head of football at BILD, Weghorst has been told that he can join Tottenham if Daniel Levy is willing to pay the €35million (around £32million) asking price for his services.
About the rumors of & Wout Weghorst. True: the striker has a promise from his club that a transfer is possible from about 35 million euros if Tottenham make a bid

Weghorst is the archetypal target man, a tall striker with great aerial ability who is able to hold up the ball superbly, not to mention his poacher’s instinct and eye for goal which has helped him rack up such impressive scoring figures in the past few seasons.
On paper, he sounds like just the kind of player who’d thrive in the Premier League, particularly in a Jose Mourinho team – but what have Spurs fans made of this latest report?
Below is some of the reaction on social media:
SIGN HIM QUICK

He’s 28. £20-25m should be sufficient.

Why? We never play more than one striker and it’s always Kane. Vinicius deserves a shot but doesn’t get one. We’d have 3 strikers for one position. I’d not saying Weghorst is a bad player or anything, we’d be better paying the the £32m for Skriniar or Sabitzer

No way 32 mill for him. We better sign Vini, at least he is young and has potential.
