‘Sign him now’: Some fans in awe of Rangers loanee’s display last night, he’s ‘like a freight train’
Glasgow Rangers defender George Edmundson continues to make waves away from Ibrox on loan.
The 23-year-old joined Rangers in 2019 following his impressive exploits at English outfit Oldham.
To date, Edmundson has made 16 competitive senior appearances for Steven Gerrard’s side.

With Filip Helander, Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun all shining at centre-back, the 6ft 3in man’s opportunities were limited.
In addition, an issue saw him handed a ban by the Scottish FA.
With first team football looking unlikely at Ibrox, Edmundson moved south of the border to English Championship side Derby.
He has made three appearances to date, coming off the bench in the 2-1 win over Wycombe before starting against Watford and Huddersfield.
Edmundson got his first goal in a Rams shirt against the Terriers, opening the scoring in the 2-0 win with a thumping header from Nathan Byrne’s cross.
Martyn Waghorn, who came on for Edmundson at half time, then grabbed Derby’s second at Pride Park as Wayne Rooney’s side moved up to 18th place in the English second tier.
Here is what some of their fans said about the Rangers loanee:

George Edmundson. Absolute problem for defenders.

George Edmundson with the third-man run is it? The bloke is absolutely everywhere.

George Edmundson played well.
Looked good in defence and timed is run for his goal perfectly. Attacked the ball with venom.
I genuinely think they are looking at him as Clarke’s replacement next season. Free transfer prospect, as it’s unlikely that we can afford Clarke.

George Edmundson. Sign him now Derby. Get the book out! A defender who throws themselves at the ball like he does both offensively and defensively is my kind of defender 👏
