‘Showed his leadership’… £11m Tottenham player was absolutely outstanding out on loan yesterday
As well as the success Tottenham Hotspur fans are enjoying under Ange Postecoglou this season, they do have plenty of players out on loan to follow.
Plymouth Argyle must now be something of a second team for some Spurs’ fans, given both Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine are on loan there.

Phillips has already enjoyed some excellent progress since he joined in January, even if it wasn’t Plymouth’s day against Sunderland yesterday losing 3-1.
However, that young duo aren’t the only Tottenham players enjoying success out on loan in the Championship this season.
Joe Rodon made the move to Leeds United at the start of the season, a decision that’s looked slightly ill-thought at times this season.
Although the obvious priority needs to be Rodon’s progress and playing time, the 26-year-old would have surely started several games for Spurs in the absence of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
Either way, Rodon is at least enjoying a progressive time at Leeds, which could earn Tottenham a profit on their to sign the Welshman.
And via the , Rodon stood out as a real leader in Leeds’ 3-0 win over Rotherham yesterday.
Tottenham defender Joe Rodon enjoys more success during brilliant Leeds loan
Rodon has become a real stalwart of the Leeds defence this season, playing alongside Ethan Ampadu on this occasion.
And when reviewing his game, journalist Graham Smyth lauded Rodon has a calming presence, as well as recognising his leadership qualities.

Smyth’s report said: “Solid, steady and brought a calming presence. Showed his leadership in periods where it threatened to get a bit frantic.”
As mentioned, Tottenham will surely hope that Rodon’s success out on loan can earn the club a tidy profit in the summer.
Postecoglou’s project will surely accelerate even more in the off-season, when the club should have money to spend.
Perhaps a centre-forward will be on the top of the wishlist, even with Richarlison showing so much improvement.
And with that in mind, one striker that Spurs have been linked with has now said that his current manager no longer wants him.
