Celtic playmaker Ryan Christie is set for an exit from Parkhead at the end of the season when his contract expires as it stands, but he should perhaps look for a move in January if his struggles in the first team continue.
The attacking midfielder returned to the Bhoys in the summer after his 18-month loan spell and appeared to have the momentum to break into Brendan Rodgers’ side.
He managed eight goals and 15 assists last season for Aberdeen in all competitions, as he proved he can be a brilliant attacking threat in central or wide areas.
But the Scotland international has found it difficult so far this season for Celtic and completed 90 minutes in just one of his eight appearances.
He doesn’t quite look cut out to break into the Celtic XI due to the stiff competition and looks set for a fringe role for the entire season.

Christie is a talented individual with great technique and the left-footed ace has proven he can be efficient in front of goal.
It would be a complete waste for him to sit on the sidelines for the next year and the 23-year-old needs to be playing regular football to help his development at his age.
Christie could consider speeding up his Celtic exit by searching for potential suitors in January if his form doesn’t turn around for the Scottish champions.
