Should Newcastle extend Rolando Aarons’ loan at League One club?
Since breaking onto the scene for Newcastle in 2014, Rolando Aarons has struggled with injury. He has gone on several loan spells in an attempt to regain his form and return to the top level of English football. But should Newcastle extend his current loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers that expires on January 13th, to the end of the season?
The 24-year-old has only featured eight times, again struggling with some niggling injury problems. However, he is beginning to get a run in the side and has scored in two of his last five games.

It was a shock to many when Aarons made the move to Buckinghamshire after impressing on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season. He would have been hoping to be part of Steve Bruce’s plans for the season but was left out of the Premier League squad.
In a recent interview for , Aarons said: ”I was massively surprised and disappointed because the week before I had started the preseason game and I had played every game in the summer so the minimum I thought was I was going to be in the squad.”

It is now looking like a good decision because Aarons is beginning to re-capture his mojo. If he can remain fit for the remainder of the season, and push Wycombe to a surprise promotion, who knows where he may end up.
Newcastle’s form has been better of late, and Aarons would not feature if he moved back to St James Park in January. A Championship loan deal is possible, but he may be better off at Wycombe, where he is getting regular football for a side who are flying in League One.
