Sheyi Ojo talks about Rangers loan spell and Liverpool ambitions
Liverpool midfielder Sheyi Ojo will be looking to further his development under former Reds icon Steven Gerrard out on loan at Rangers this season.
he has been discussing his first-team prospects at Anfield and how his time at Ibrox can help him carry on improving.
He : “Playing with the likes of Hendo, obviously Salah in my position, Mane, they’re world class players. It’s the top of the elite level, in terms of world football and to be in contention with that you have to go out and have a good season. You have to prove to the manager and prove to yourself that you can do it.”
“Jurgen Klopp, he’s a similar sort of character and you have to push yourself every day in training. I want to do that anyway for my career. I know what I’m capable of, so every day is going to be a really exciting challenge for me this season with the gaffer here just to push myself and show what I can do.”

It looks a tough ask for Ojo to force his way into the Liverpool plans at the moment. Ryan Kent should be ahead of him in the pecking order because he had the more impressive 2018/19 campaign.
And even Kent looks set to leave Anfield again this summer, such is the quality of Liverpool’s current options, as well as Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn that Ojo would do well to make the leap.
But Kent has to be the example for Ojo to follow – if he gets his head down, works hard and impresses Gerrard, then Jurgen Klopp is likely to take note too.
