Sheffield Wednesday fans react as Rangers reportedly eye Cameron Dawson
Sheffield Wednesday fans have been discussing Rangers’ interest in Cameron Dawson.
, Rangers will battle Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and Preston North End for Dawson. Sheffield Wednesday have yet to decide on whether to keep Dawson as his contract expires next summer.
Dawson is the second-choice goalkeeper at Hillsborough. Garry Monk prefers Keiren Westwood. But Dawson has kept three clean sheets in all three of his Championship outings this season.
Owls face Dawson decision

In total, he has played just under 50 times for the Owls, who he supported as a boy. With Westwood approaching his final playing days, Dawson might be eyeing the long-term goalkeeper spot.
But his contract might not be renewed. As a result, three Championship clubs and Rangers are reportedly chasing a bargain swoop. Rangers could move for the 24-year-old in January or try to strike a pre-contract agreement.
Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to discuss whether they should keep Dawson or let him leave. There are a variety of opinions on this transfer story. Here are some of the best tweets.
Really hope we keep him, it would be stupid to let him go now. Westwood is a brilliant keeper but accident prone Dawson is our next number one.

Needs to move on, will always be in Westwood’s shadow

It’d be foolish to let him go permanently but I wouldn’t mind him going out on loan when Wildsmith is fit. Westy still got another 1-2 years left in him at this level.

He’s no where near been a number 1. When Westwood retires we will need a quality replacement and he won’t be it

Bit naive to be into his last season and not sorted, he’s clearly the next in line after Westwood finishes, should have been tied down last season with all the George first nonsense, will we ever learn

Get him signed up. Clearly has a very bright future.
