Sheffield United warn Arsenal over £35m Sander Berge transfer price tag
According to , Sheffield United have warned Arsenal why they will demand at least £35million to sell Sander Berge.
Arsenal are lining up a move for the Norway international, who Tottenham were given the chance to bid for before Jose Mourinho was fired. Berge’s situation stands out to the Gunners as he is expected to leave the Blades following their relegation.

While Arsenal want to negotiate a lower fee, Sheffield United hold all the control over Berge’s future. The Championship-bound club are under no pressure to sell the 23-year-old and have for the summer transfer window.
Berge would help the Blades avoid any unnecessary spending if they can keep the star. And they clearly feel he is worth more than what the Gunners currently want to pay.
The added interest from elsewhere will also aid Sheffield United’s position. Along with Everton and Aston Villa (), Man City have been linked (). Pep Guardiola views the Blades star as a Fernandinho replacement, in a role Mikel Arteta also wants to address at Arsenal.
Edu, then, will likely have to trigger the release clause if he is to land his man. Especially as Sheffield United would also of what they make from selling Berge.
