Shearer identifies the Tottenham man that is at the ‘heart of everything under Conte
Alan Shearer has included Son Heung-min in his after Antonio Conte’s side eased past Norwich City to win 3-0 on Sunday – and Tottenham fans will love his verdict.
Son, 29, got a goal and an assist against the Canaries – initially finding Lucas Moura, and the neat one-two resulted ina bullet into the top corner from 25 yards. Davinson Sanchez got his side’s second.
Then, Son nabbed his sixth of the season. Ben Davies was the architect, laying Son off who still had some work to do – but curled one into the corner. Another brilliant performance from the South Korea captain.
Son now has two goals in two games, and five goal involvements in his last nine Premier League outings. He is proving to be much more important to Spurs this season, than Harry Kane has been.

Ahead of Son potentially making his 300th appearances against Rennes on Thursday, : “A goal, an assist and at the heart of everything good Spurs produced.”
Shearer on Son: Tottenham star is now most-important at the club
At least, under Antonio Conte, he is the most-important Spurs player. His ability to offer an outlet, to drive his side up the pitch, to do everything the Italian gaffer would want, makes him crucial.
The leader of the press at times, hard-working, a subdued leader that lets his feet do the talking – Son is in excellent form and he is only going to get better as Conte not only improves him, but the team as a whole.
