Shaun Wright-Phillips says Man City should sign Lacazette from Arsenal
Former Manchester City and England winger, Shaun Wright-Phillips, has said that Pep Guardiola should look to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal to solve his striking woes.
City are under the microscope this season once again for their lack of number nine. A summer of trying to sign Harry Kane resulted in nothing, and Pep Guardiola is fielding constant questions about his lack of actual striker this term.

The January transfer window will once again see City linked with a number of players. However, former City star Wright-Phillips believes that Arsenal forward Lacazette could be the answer to their problems.
“Someone was talking to me about it the other day and I said ‘for me I would sign Ollie Watkins. Or even Lacazette, he knows where the goal is,” Wright-Phillips told .
“He knows how to bring people into play and I always believe that when he plays for , their front three behind him seem to play better, there seems to be more of a link-up between them.”
The experienced Lacazette is expected to leave Arsenal in the summer. But a move in January could appeal, especially if someone is willing to give the Gunners a nice chunk of change.
TBR’s View: Lacazette not the strangest of calls for City
In terms of short-term options, Lacazette could actually do the business for City if they did go for him. He’s playing well for Arsenal, so there’s no reason why he can’t translate that form into a City shirt.
The big question is whether he would go on a short-term deal. Lacazette is into his 30s now and will probably want a longer contract. City, though, would be unlikely to offer him that.
But in terms of the type of striker City need at the moment, then Arsenal man Lacazette is certainly a decent option.
