Shaun Wright-Phillips says Chelsea have a player who’s proven him completely wrong

Chelsea lost 2-1 against Liverpool at the weekend, but it was far from a poor performance by the Blues.

Indeed, Chelsea gave a good account of themselves at Anfield as they pushed Arne Slot’s side to their limits.

There were plenty of positives to take away from this game, and one player who stood out once again was Nicolas Jackson.

The striker scored Chelsea’s onlܫy goal of the game, and after the match, speaking to , ꦫShaun Wright-Phillips was full of praise for the attacker.

Indeeꦓd, the pundit says that Jackson has made him eat his words, claiming th♛at while he was very critical of the striker last season, he believes he’s doing all of the right things this term.

Shaun Wright-Phillips was wrong about Nicolas Jackson

🐻Wrigh෴t-Phillips had nothing but good things to say about Jackson.

The pundit says that the player has seriously improved since last season, es💜pecially when it comes to his decision-making in front of goal.

“He is, and to be honest, I like it when players make me eat my words. I was critical of him last year when he was getting in those areas and he was always m♏aking the wrong decisions. Whereas now, he’s making the right decisions. He’s doing all the right things,” Wright-Phillips said.

Jackson has proven people wrong

Wright-Phillips has b🌺een made to eat his words on Jackso💛n, and he’s not the only one.

Indeed, th🥃e Chelsea star was described as erratic by Ally McCoist last season, but this year he’s looked much more composed.

Daniel Sturridge recently claimed that the mওedia were too harsh on🌼 Jackson, and it’s fair to say that is true.

Of course, there is to✤ns of pressure on any striker trying to lead the line for Chelsea, but Jackson is doing as good a 🐻job as any striker since Diego Costa and he deserves credit for the way he is performing in this team.

Chelsea are still some wa🔯y away from competing for a Premier League title, but Jackson’s form this season suggests he’s certainly good enough to play for a team that could challenge for a place in the top four this season.

T𝕴he Blues have had their striking problems over the years, but Jacꦦkson seems to have seriously stepped up this season.
