Shaqiri may be worried man as report suggests Klopp could hand Wilson chance

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could hand Harry Wilson a chance in 2020/21 if no buyer can be found – and that could be bad news for Xherdan Shaqiri.

, the German tactician would apparently have no qualms about using the Wales international if offers from other teams are not forthcoming.

He made 31 appearances in the top-flight for Eddie Howe’s side, with a further four coming in the domestic cup competitions.

Liverpool are said to be unwilling to allow the player another loan move, and value him around £20 million.

It will be interesting to see if any team is willing to come forward with such an offer, but Klopp’s stance may be somewhat worrying for Xherdan Shaqiri, who would surely stand to be impacted by him getting a chance.

TBR’s View – Could Wilson cut short Shaqiri’s Anfield career?

Switzerland international Shaqiri is the same type of player, and it can be argued his future could come into doubt if Wilson is to stick around.

Klopp has always spoken highly of £80,000-a-week star Shaqiri (), but one gets the feeling that he could play far more than he does at Anfield.

The manager’sapparent reluctance to use Shaqiri more often is reason to suggest Wilson could make regular minutes even harder to come by for him.

Perhaps the player needs to keep a close eye on what happens. If Wilson is not sold, perhaps Shaqiri should be thinking about a new chapter unless Klopp gives him assurances.
