Sergio Reguilon delivers three-word Instagram update on Tottenham injury

Sergio Reguilon has delivered an update on his Instagram story after being taken off with an injury during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa – and fortunately for Spurs fans, it is a positive one.

The 24-year-old was crucial once again for Spurs as the Londoners secured all three points ahead of the international break, after two woeful defeats to rivals Arsenal and Dinamo Zagreb – the latter ending their European dreams.

Carlos Vinicius was the surprise inclusion in the starting line-up, but he scored his first Premier League goal of the season with a tap-in – before Harry Kane won, and then scored a penalty, his 27th of the season.

Reguilon, 24, was important for Jose Mourinho’s side as always – providing an outlet on the left. He was also one of the more-experienced players in a new-look Tottenham defence, with Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga starting.

But early in the second half, Reguilon was forced off. He got ahead of Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson to intercept a pass but with the Frenchman attempting to control – he trod on Reguilon’s foot. A painful looking injury.

It proved too much for the ex-Real Madrid defender – who was replaced by Ben Davies on 57 minutes. However, to the delight of Spurs fans, he gave a three-word injury update on his Instagram story after the match.
