Serge Aurier and Ben Chilwell react to Tottenham transfer deadline-day news
A number of Dele Alli’s peers have reacted to the Everton newcomer’s heartfelt farewell message to Tottenham on Instagram.
The England midfielder left Spurs on transfer deadline day to link up with the Toffees on a permanent deal.
Everton have signed Alli on a two-and-a-half year contract for a fee that could reach £40million, which includes performance-related add-ons.

New Toffees manager Frank Lampard was a key factor in convincing the 25-year-old to join the club.
It comes after Lampard also persuaded midfielder Donny van de Beek to join on loan for the rest of the season.
Alli signed for Tottenham from MK Dons in 2015, though he saw the 2014-15 campaign out on loan.
He made 269 appearances in all competitions for Spurs and scored 67 goals, including 51 in the Premier League.
Alli won back-to-back PFA Young Player of the Year awards for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.
He also helped Spurs to reach their first Champions League final in 2019.
However, Alli has struggled in recent years.
He has been a fringe player at Tottenham for a while now, and is currently not in England contention.
Last season, he struggled for game time under Jose Mourinho.
Indeed, Alli was reportedly close to leaving last January amid links with Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain.
Earlier this term, Nuno Espirito Santo reinstated Alli back to the starting XI, and he did well initially.
However, this didn’t last, and Alli soon found himself warming the bench once again, with the odd cameo.
Under Antonio Conte, the £100,000-a-week man has had a couple of starts, but was far from being a regular starter.
On Tuesday, the playmaker sent a classy message thanking Spurs, their fans, and Mauricio Pochettino:
Steven Bergwijn, Serge Aurier, Kyle Walker-Peters and Ben Chilwell were just a few of the players wishing Alli well in response:
