Sepp van den Berg says Liverpool have a truly ‘incredible’ player in their ranks
Liverpool academy defender Sepp van den Berg has waxed lyrical about Reds star Virgil van Dijk, in conversation with the .
Van Dijk has been sensational for Liverpool since joining from Southampton in 2017 for a £75million fee, then a world record amount for a defender.
It didn’t take long for Van Dijk to prove that it was money well spent.

In very little time, he bolstered Liverpool’s previously shaky defence and helped transform them into one of the best teams in the world.
Since the Netherlands international arrived at Anfield, Liverpool have won the Champions League, the Premier League and the Club World Cup.
Van Dijk is currently out injured and has been a big miss for a Reds side which has struggled to hit the heights of the last couple of years.
Van den Berg, currently on loan at Preston, is looking forward to being back in training at Liverpool, where he can learn from his compatriot.
“He (Van Dijk) is someone who, as a young player, you look up to,” the young Dutchman told the . “He’s an incredible defender.
“It’s a really great environment to be in, to be able to train with him, to watch him play or to even watch him train.
“It’s been good. In training, of course he’s Dutch so you can speak Dutch with him. He’s nice, really nice.
“When I came we had Ki-Jana Hoever as well. We had some Dutch players who I could talk to but, to be fair, everyone at Liverpool really helped me when I came.”
