‘Sends a shiver down all Arsenal fans’ spine’: Charles Watts discusses transfer rumour he’s heard
Arsenal have been linked with Serge Gnabry in recent months.
According to CBS reporter , the Gunners are exploring the possibility of re-signing the 26-year-old.
However, Arsenal aren’t the only club reportedly keeping tabs on Gnabry this summer.
And over the past few days, Chelsea have apparently joined the race to land the Bayern Munich ace.
Indeed, Fabrizio Romano has that the Blues “have started to explore” Gnabry’s situation.
Bayern are reportedly in talks with the winger over a new deal at the Allianz Arena as his contract enters its final season.
However, there have also been counter-reports regarding the Gunners academy graduate and Chelsea.
SportBILD – via – has claimed that Gnabry wouldn’t consider joining one of Arsenal’s London rivals.
Charles Watts has now given his take on the Gnabry to Chelsea rumours, on his YouTube .
The Goal.com Arsenal correspondent said: “I saw a report certainly coming out from a pretty established Chelsea reporter over with the club in the States.
“So it feels like it’s gone round there, that they are maybe looking at Serge Gnabry if Raphinha indeed doesn’t happen.
“That sends a shiver down all Arsenal fans’ spine.
“There have been, sort of counter-reports from Germany after those, saying that Gnabry wouldn’t consider Chelsea because of his Arsenal connection.
“If that is the case, I think we can all breathe a huge sign of relief, because don’t think any of us would want to see Serge Gnabry playing for Chelsea.
“But it remains to be seen where they go now in terms of bringing a wide attacker, with Raphinha heading to Barcelona.”
