‘Sell and get Damsgaard’: Some Spurs fans welcome overseas champions’ reported interest in player – not Kane
Some Spurs fans have given their thoughts on the report linking Steven Bergwijn with a transfer to Ajax.
According to the , the Dutch champions are still exploring the possibility of landing the 23-year-old.
However, Tottenham are reportedly reluctant to sell Bergwijn.
If they do, they’d want to recoup what they paid for him, added the report.

Spurs transfer talk: Could Bergwijn leave N17 for game time?
Bergwijn became one of Jose Mourinho’s first signings when Spurs paid PSV Eindhoven around £27million for him in January last year.
However, the 23-year-old was largely reduced to substitute appearances during his first full season in the Premier League.
Spurs reportedly want Bergwijn to start pre-season with Mourinho’s successor – potentially Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, the Dutchman is also aware he needs regular game time if he is to force his way back into the Netherlands setup.
Bergwijn missed out on Frank de Boer’s squad for Euro 2020, but the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is on the horizon.

If we let him go it will be a big mistake
— Jamie (@xthfcjamie)
He has potential, he has speed, and works just as hard on defense as in offense which is why Mourinho gave him numerous starts. He just lacks confidence since he is young. He reminds me of Sonny when he was younger. A diamond in the rough. Keep him.

i would only sell him if we switch to a 5-3-2 cause funds for him moura and lamela could be used for key positions
