Seattle Sounders regain that winning Feeling

Seattle Sounders 2 Chivas USA 1

The hosts gained their first victory in th🐼eir last four games with this success as they jumped over the San Jose Earthqua𒉰kes in to seventh place in the Western Conference.

That leaves them four points behind the Vancouver Whitecap who at the moment occupy th♛e final play-off p꧒lace and they still have two games in hand on the Canadian side as well.

Things did not start that great as against the run of play Erick Torres scored for the second consecutive game since his arrival from Chivas de Guadalajara to put the visitors in front after 16 minutes, rookie Carlos Alvarez was the caused all sorts of problems as he weaved his way through the Chivas defense and after beating Osvaldo Alo🧸nso he left it to Torres to coolly finish insiꦦde of the far post.

The Sounders did not have to wait long before  parity was restored as 7 minutes later Brad E🌠vans netted for the home side. Obafemi Martins controlled a ball about 30 yards out and then slipped in Evans, who made a nice run from a deep position. Evans took one touch and beat Dan Kennedy to the near post for his first goal since March 30.

Torres however was the main thorn in the side of the home team and 7 minutes later he almost gave the vistiors the lead again but his shot was suberbly pus𒁏hed on to the crossbar by Seattle keeper Andrew Weber.

That proved costly as  Lamor Neagle secured the vi🦹ctory when he found the back of the net on 57 minutes. Neagle was able to beat Chivas goalkeeper Kennedy from about 12 yards out after finishing a ball that Mauro Rosales was able to ge☂t just enough of to get it free.

It marked Neagle’s first goal in six games The defeat i🧜s the away sides second reversal in their last three encounters after a brief upturn in their form and now sees them ten points behind the Earthquakes
