Scott Sinclair has to deliver for Celtic after international break

Attacker Scott Sinclair has had a hugely successful spell at Celtic so far, but it could be make or break for him with regards to his future at Parkhead after the international break.

The Bhoys winger played a major role in the club winning a double-treble in the last two years and he has reignited his stuttering career under manager Brendan Rodgers in Scotland.

But the 29-year-old has seen his form dip well below his usual levels this campaign and he’s got just two goals in 15 appearances across all competitions so far.

The left-winger has fallen out of the best starting XI right now, with in-form James Forrest and Callum McGregor ensuring that most of his appearances have come from the bench.

Sinclair will surely not want to watch on from the sidelines this season, which is why the set of fixtures in the next month are vital for the outcome of his future.

The English speed machine needs to continue getting in goalscoring positions when he gets his opportunities and did score a stunning back-heeled goal recently against Aberdeen.

But he’s got his work cut out to become a regular starter again and needs a purple patch of form to get his Celtic career back on track.

The Celtic supporters now have such high demands of Sinclair – who earns £25,000-a-week, according to – that he needs to be impacting matches on a regular basis to stay in their good books.
