Tottenham told they have made a ‘really good’ long-term decision this summer
Tottenham Hotspur are currently gearing up for a big season in which they’ll be eager to build on the good work Ange Postecoglou carried out in his maiden campaign.
Spurs were much improved last season compared to how they fared in 2022/23, and have Europa League football to look forward to this term.
Tottenham are likely to be busy on the transfer front in August, with just over three weeks left until deadline day.
Now, talkSPORT pundit Scott Minto has claimed that Spurs have already made a “really good” long-term decision this summer.

Scott Minto raves about Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray
Tottenham have made just one senior signing to date, but he is arguably one of the most exciting talents in the English game.
The player in question is Archie Gray, who Spurs signed from Leeds United for a fee of around £30million, according to .
At just 18 years of age, Gray has already made 52 competitive appearances for the Whites, and he has been prominent in pre-season for Tottenham.
Minto has now given his verdict on the Tottenham newcomer, and he believes Spurs have made a good long-term decision in signing him.
“I like Archie Gray,” he said. “I did the game against Norwich for talkSPORT in the first leg, and he kind of played as a number 10 but he’s not really a number 10, you know.
“He’s more of a central midfielder, could be box to box, can play that holding role, can play in defence as well, so I think he’s a really good signing in the long term for Spurs.”
Gray could get plentiful game time in Europa League
Gray is one of the most exciting young players in the country. Indeed, some have argued that he may just be the biggest English talent since Declan Rice.
Tottenham have done well to swoop in and sign the teenager ahead of Brentford, who looked set to bring him to west London.
With Spurs set to compete in the Europa League this season, there’s a good chance we’ll see Gray in a fair bit of competitive action in the coming months.
Up next for Tottenham is their ‘second leg’ friendly against Bayern Munich in north London.
Then, the Lilywhites’ Premier League season gets under way on Monday 19 August, away at Leicester City.
