as urging Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull to complete a move to Celtic this summer, after seemingly rejecting a move to Parkhead last week.
Celtic were believed to be closing in on a £3million move to land the 19-year-old midfielder, but Turnbull surprisingly rejected a move – with Celtic posting a statement on their official Twitter account.
It is believed that Celtic are still in the running to sign Turnbull, who was somewhat harshly overlooked for the young player of the season award – which was instead awarded to Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
But Sheffield Wednesday are also interested and Brown discussed whether the Scotland Under-21 international would be a good signing, and why rejecting a move down south is better than rejecting the Scottish champions.

“He’s a fantastic young player, this will be a great club if he wants to come here and he’ll be welcomed by every single person,” “I had that hunger to come here to win trophies, there’s a reason I didn’t go down the road.”
TBR’s view
Celtic desperately need a player like Turnbull. His impressive outlay in front of goal would give Celtic an extra dimension, with Tom Rogic struggling last season and Olivier Ntcham being linked with a move.
Expected to earn Scotland caps and go all the way, Turnbull is already considered one of the best midfielders in Scottish football after his 2018-19 form. At Celtic, he is only likely to improve if he gets regular game time.
Hearing a player like Brown speak highly of you is only going to tempt Turnbull, in a move that could be a smart play by the Hoops.
