
Celtic have reportedly made an offer for Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts in a bid to bring the English star back to Parkhead two years after his loan spell ended – and Scott Brown has teased the attacker on Instagram.
Roberts, 23, joined Celtic in January 2016 on loan from Manchester on an initial 18-month loan, before that was extended for another 12 months in the summer of 2017. He clocked up 78 outings for the Scottish champions.
In that time, Roberts scored 18 goals and created 26 more – winning three Scottish Premiership titles, as well as two Scottish Cups and two League Cups. However, the England Under-20 star left after the 2017-18 campaign.
But after a disappointing spell with La Liga side Girona and then Premier League outfit Norwich, Roberts has been forced to drop down to Championship side Middlesbrough. Roberts posted a throwback, uploading a picture of himself on holiday.

With Celtic looking to bring Roberts back to Parkhead this summer, captain Brown has teased Roberts on his latest Instagram post in regards to the winger’s upper-body strength – showing the camaraderie would not be lost if Roberts did return.
Signed by City for £12million (), Celtic could land themselves a bargain in Roberts.
