Richard Keys has described the way Tottenham 𒉰Hotspur were treated in the Champions League last week as a “sca🧸ndal”.

The pundit, writing on his , also feels that the touchline ban Spurs boss Antonio Conte will be serving tonight “isn’t right”.

Spurs would’ve secured qualification and top spot in the group, only for VAR to rule the goal out for of𓃲fside.

Tottenham celebrated Kane’s effort, but then had to wait for four minutes, before their joy turned to ou🌊trage.

In the aftermath, Conte was sent off, ruling him out of toꦍnight’s crucial clash against Marseille🍷.

The Spurs manager will not only be 🎃banned fꦇrom sitting in the dugout but also from the dressing room before, during and after the game.

‘It’s a restraint of trade’

On the subject of Tottenham, Keys began by criticisi♛ng Conte for keeping Spurs in 🐲a “straitjacket” early on against Bournemouth.

Moving on to tonight’s match, the pundit said he had sympathy for the Spurs boss, before criticising🐽 VAR and the authorities.

“Spurs were terrific at Bournemouth꧙ ಞafter they’d done 2-down,” began Keys.

“Why can’t we see more of that? They’ܫve got good players as well.

“Why are they al💦ways kept in a straight jacket by Conte? There’s a time and a p🅘lace of course, but not always.

“And I’ve nothing but sympathy for Spurs after the way they we💎re treated in the CL.

“It was a s🌺candꦡal that they thought they’d qualified for the group stages – only to be told after a five minute delay that they hadn’t.

“The decision was wrong – proving🌄 that VAR isn’t fool proof. The ball wꦑas nodded backwards – away from Kane.

“It ended up with him because a defender deflected it.🎶 The goal sh🐼ould’ve stood.

“Of course Conte was goi🃏ng to lose control and as a result he’s banned missing arguably the biggest match in Tottenham’s season.

“That isn’t ri🌳ght either. It’s a restraint of trade. How𒈔 can the authorities stop him from doing his job?

“I’m no fan o🌳f touch line bans in the modern world. What’s the point?

“Communications are so gꦆood now that Spurs ಌwill come up with a solution of sorts – but they shouldn’t have to.

“Fine Conte – and Klopp for his outrageous behaviour the we🔯ek before – and send them out to do some kind of footballing community service. And donate the fine to charity.”
