A statement on the said: Gabriel Jesus has successfully undergone surgery to his right knee after suffering an injury during the Brazil v Cameroon World Cup group stage match on Friday.

Cazorla on Jesus injury blow
He said: “Really, really bad news for the club, also for the national team as well.
“For Arsenal, he’s a very important player and the best signing in the summer. He scored a lot of goals and he works very hard for the other players.
“We’ll see. We have a lot of very good players but Gabriel Jesus is very important and I hope he recovers well and comes back strong.”
The injury to Jesus gives Eddie Nketiah the opportunity he has been waiting for to show what he can do up front for Arsenal.
It remains to be seen whether Mikel Arteta goes into the transfer market to get a replacement, but we saw with the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang situation that the Spaniard will not just get someone for the sake of it.
Perhaps the best approach would be to buy the winger that Arsenal were planning to buy next month anyway, and add Gabriel Martinelli to the list of options up front until Jesus is back.
But many Arsenal fans will want a big name striker coming in to replace Jesus and keep the momentum going in the title chase.
