Sandro wants permanent Sevilla move, but will they want him?

In the summer Everton beat off plenty of competition to sign Spanish forward Sandro Ramirez from Malaga. He cost a fee to be in the region of £5.25 million in a deal that many were calling one of the bargains of the summer.

However the forward simply did not settle at Everton and was not given much of a chance by Ronald Koeman, interim boss David Unsworth or current manager Sam Allardyce.

Therefore he was allowed to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the season in January. Since making the move he has made no secret of his desire to make it a permanent departure from Goodison Park.

He is as stating:

“I would like to stay next season, this is clear for me.

“This club is competitive and demanding, and I must talk to Everton to inform them of my ideas that I would like to continue here beyond my current loan.”

It is not the first time Sandro has mentioned a desire to make the move permanent. He said something similar in February and it seems an exit is firmly on his mind.

But whilst the Spaniard is pushing the potential deal, will Sevilla actually want to sign him?

Last season he was impressive with Malaga. The 22-year-old scored 14 goals in 30 La Liga appearances.

But his struggles at Everton have not been instantly solved back in Spain. Sandro has featured six times since heading to the Sanchez Pizjuan, but only one of those appearances has come as a starter.

This season Sandro still has just the one goal to his name, during the Europa League thrashing imposed on Everton by Atalanta in November.

The forward has made it clear that he would like to remain at Sevilla next season. From Everton’s point of view, the attacker was cheap. Making a profit off Sandro should not be too difficult and Everton will surely be open to the exit.

The big question is, based on his impact so far, would Sevilla want him? Sandro may have to do much more to convince his loan club to splash out for his signature in the summer.
