Sandro regrets decision to leave Tottenham in 2014
that he regrets leaving Tottenham Hotspur as early as he did in the summer of 2014, to join Queens Park Rang⛎ers for a fee of £10million ().
Sandro, 30, is currently on the look out for a new club at the moment after failing to make a single appearance this season for Serie A side Genoa. Back in the summer of 2014, he chose to join Hꦉarry Redknaꦕpp’s QPR.
Since then, the 18-time Brazil international’s career has gone ღon a downward spiral. He managed just 36 appearances for QPR in ✤18 months, before a loan spell at West Brom and then a move to Turkey with Antalyaspor.
A move to Italy with Benevento, then to Genoa andꦕ a loan spell with Udinese has seen Sandro manage just 40 appearances in two years. Speaking on his exit from Spurs over five years ago, Sandro stated that he left north London too soon.
“I regret leaving Tottenham. I had three more years of contract, just renewed. I rushed. could have evolved more if it were I was one of the longest at the club four seasons ago. At that time everyone was young. Pochettino had just arrived,”

TBR’s view – Did Sandro make a mistake in leaving Tottenham?
Sandro left Tottenham in 2014 on deadline day after managing just 17 Premier League appearances throughout 2013-14. Though he was not first choice, the midfieꦫlder was still very much in and around the senior side.
Indeed, Sandro was still only 25 years of age and there was potential and scope for him to improve. Instead, his need to become first choice ra🌄thꦏer than remaining patient has ruined his career. Sometimes, the grass is not always greener.
