‘Same old Arsenal’: Gunners fans perplexed by decision to sell Guendouzi to Marseille
Arsenal fans have been left perplexed this weekend after reports emerged to suggest Matteo Guendouzi will sign for Marseille soon.
have said Guendouzi has agreed terms on a five-year deal with the French giants. Further, it is believed Arsenal will receive around £13m for their man.
Guendouzi fell firmly out of favour with Mikel Arteta last season. Following on from that spat, he spent the rest of the campaign out on loan with Hertha Berlin.

His future has been the talk of plenty of speculation ever since that tiff with the Arsenal boss. Many have expected him to move on for some time, so the overall transfer to Marseille is no big surprise.
Arsenal fans think Guendouzi is worth more
But some Arsenal fans feel the club are being short-changed, if reports of the fee are correct. Social media was full of Gunners fans commenting on the Guendouzi to Marseille talk, with Twitter the place to be to gather Arsenal supporter opinion. Marseille are also said to be keen on William Saliba, something we covered on TBR, here.
As is quite often the case with decisions Edu and Arsenal make, there was plenty of criticism. Here, then, is what some Arsenal fans had to say about the decision to sell Guendouzi to Marseille.
Terrible business by the board if this is true. We’re short of midfield talent. If you don’t realty don’t want the player at least get a decent value for him.

. This is criminal behaviour. Guendouzi gonna go on to be a star

Big mistake that boy has talent

That’s a pathetic fee. Better have a massive sell on clause.

This club don’t cease to amaze me. Same old arsenal

Thats a great midfielder lost to an incompetent manager. Hope he is sacked before we lose saliba and martinelli as well
