Sam Allardyce thinks Diego Costa would fire Everton into the top four
Former Everton manager Sam Allardyce thinks Everton would finish in the top four if they signed Diego Costa.
The Spanish striker has been linked with a surprise move to Goodison Park in recent days, he is open to a move back to the Premier League.

Atletico Madrid have signed Joao Felix and Alvaro Morata on a permanent deal, meaning Costa is free to leave the Wanda Metropolitano should a suitable offer arrive.
The former Chelsea hitman would be a coup for the Toffees, and former manager Allardyce believes he is the player that can help fire them into the Champions League.
, he said: “Fourth is up for grabs – Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United…

“Who is going to break in? Obviously Everton fans expect them to.
“And if they got a Costa, and they get him moving and scoring goals like he did at Chelsea, they could possibly get there.”
TBR’s view
Everton would need a couple more signings on top but Costa would definitely help Everton get closer to a top four finish.

The burly 30-year-old showed during his time in the Premier League that he can at times be unplayable.
The ruthless star remains one of Europe’s most difficult forwards to play against for defenders, so Everton signing him would be a huge statement – although it’s hard to imagine a deal will happen given Marcel Brands’ transfer policy of favouring younger players.
