Video: ‘Fantastic’ Tottenham 21-year-old impresses in pre-Liverpool training, praised three times by coaches

Tottenham have been preparing for Liverpool this weekend as they look to throw a spanner in the works when it comes to the title race.

Antonio Conte’s men won’t be too excited by the prospect of a trip to Anfield when it comes to their own Champions League hopes. However, it’s also a big chance to make an impression, and Conte will want his team to go out and cause a big upset.

Liverpool’s Andy Robertson has already warned of Tottenham being a different side to that which drew 2-2 with the Reds earlier in the season. The Liverpool defender pointed out how the January signings of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski have massively improved Conte’s side.

Of course, Conte will simply be hoping his Tottenham team turns up and does the business. And looking at this weeks inside , it looks like a few players are pushing. One of those players pushing seems to be Ryan Sessegnon. The former Fulham youngster can be seen in the training drills putting the work in, and during the drills Sessegnon is praised three times for his touch and skill in those drills.

One of the Tottenham coaches can be heard shouting and praising Sessegnon, who seems to be edging ahead of Sergio Reguilon in the pecking order as time ticks on.

TBR’s View: Conte Clearly A Fan Of Sessegnon

Sessegnon has taken his time to get going in a Tottenham shirt but he is starting to show that he is a player who Conte fancies using a lot going forward. Labelled ‘fantastic’ by Conte previously, there is every chance Sessegnon becomes Tottenham’s long-term wing-back.

In his favour, too, is talk of Sergio Reguilon being potentially moved on by the club. For whatever reason, the Spaniard seems to be one of the players who Conte is happy to replace.

If Sessegnon can keep impressing in training as he is here, then a regular Spurs place could be his for the taking.
