Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga react on Instagram, as 21-year-old confirms Tottenham exit
after his Tottenham Hotspur exit was confirmed, with the defender joining Lincoln City permanently. The defender has spent the last 18 months at Lincoln on loan. Both Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga reacted to Eyoma leaving Tottenham.
Eyoma, 21, did make his debut for Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino. He came on as a substitute during a 7-0 FA Cup win over Tranmere. Since January 2020, he has been with Lincoln and as both a right-back or a centre-back, he has clocked up 52 senior outings for the League One side.
Little surprise, then, that Eyoma has joined Lincoln permanently. A six-time England Under-19 international, Eyoma will now be helping Lincoln push for a place in the top six of England’s third tier. Posting on Instagram, he sent a heartfelt message to Tottenham and the club’s supporters.
Eyoma leaves Tottenham: Sessegnon and Tanganga react
Tottenham have just brought in Cristian Romero and are likely to sign another centre-back, to compete with their existing options. Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez were excellent on Sunday and Joe Rodon impressed at Euro 2020. Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier are the first-team right-backs.
As is Tanganga, who was Sunday’s man of the match. He was one of many Tottenham players to respond on Eyoma’s Instagram – joining Ryan Sessegnon in wishing Eyoma the best of luck at Lincoln going forward. Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, now at Besiktas, posted a couple of heart emojis.
