Ruben Amorim will be buzzing after hearing Florian Wirtz rumour, Liverpool could now do Man Utd a huge favour
Liverpool and Manchester United have both made early signings in the transfer window.
Jeremie Frimpong has moved to Anfield, while Matheus Cunha has swapped Molineux for Old Trafford, providing Arne Slot and Ruben Amorim with a new right-back and forward respectively.
Liverpool could soon add another Bayer Leverkusen player to their squad as talks continue over a move for Florian Wirtz – and the latest update on the German could actually help Manchester United.
Florian Wirtz latest could help Ruben Amorim offload Alejandro Garnacho
The Times shared an update on the Germany international earlier on Sunday, in which it was said that after seeing a new offer worth £113m rejected, but all parties expect an agreement to be reached eventually.
In the meantime, Manchester United are trying to find a buyer for Alejandro Garnacho.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed on YouTube that Bayer Leverkusen have enquired about the Argentina international – who Amorim left out of the final day of the Premier League season – but the Bundesliga side are currently said to be doubtful over whether they can afford the move, with Manchester United valuing the South American at £50m.
That is where Liverpool could help.
As aforesaid, the Reds are set to bid again for Wirtz, with Bayer Leverkusen holding out for £126m, and whenever an agreement is reached as expected, the fee will go down as 100% profit for the German side, seeing as the playmaker is an academy graduate.
The air already thick with pyro as Wirtz rounds off a title winning 5-0 home win for Bayer Leverkusen with his first ever senior hat-trick.

What a way to secure their first ever league title as a club.
That would be enough to buy two Garnachos – let alone one – and have money left over, surely helping Bayer Leverkusen finance the deal, and thus also ridding Amorim of a headache.
Manchester United already working to replace Alejandro Garnacho
Not only have Manchester United signed Cunha – who operates centrally – but active talks are taking place to sign a more natural winger who can replace Garnacho.
Manchester United are bidding for Bryan Mbeumo after the Brentford No.19 made it clear he wanted to join the Red Devils, and the Bees are holding out for a fee in the region of £60m as talks continue.
